Jay Dyer – Bass Guitar and vocals
I started playing guitar at age 12 with an acoustic guitar
my mother gave me for X-mas. It wasn’t long before a
switch was made from acoustic to electric guitar. Soon
a band was formed with friends and the need arose for
a bass player, I jumped at the chance to play bass and
never looked back.
After spending all of my high school years and several
more playing in “Universe”, the band would eventually
breakup and a new band would be formed named
“Expressions.” With longtime band mates and friends
Bob Terrasi(guitar),Ken Farnham(keyboards) and new
member Joe Ferrrechio on drums the band enjoyed a very successful run(10 yrs.) and finally disbanded in the
mid-90’s. After playing in various bands for a few years the call came from the South St. Band for an audition and
I joined the band. Other than a brief break from the band a few years ago, I’ve been a solid member.
As the band continues to roll through the years, the core of the
band remains intact and is still one of the top local bands in the
area. I expect the band to be a local force for many years to come
and could not have lasted all these years in this business
without the love and support of my number one fan and wife Laura!!
