BILL CHABAN: Product of 1962, a little overweight and with less hair now than I had when I was born.
EQUIPMENT 1990 Les Paul Custom, 1959 Fender Mustang retired, Ovation acoustic, Marshall AVT 150
head, Behringer Stereo Quad cab, Alesis Quadraverb processor fat fingers and a desire to play.
I’ve been playing guitar for over 30 years. I also play the drums, keyboards and
harmonica. My true love is percussion instruments and when I first started driving I
actually use to whittle my own drumsticks to bang on the dashboard while I was
cranking the radio.
I played as an acoustic soloist in many coffee houses back in the late 70's early 80's.
Shortly after that I played with several different bands covering classic rock and country.
I've opened for Charlie Daniels at Indian Ranch in Webster MA and also Highway 101.
Through the years I have enjoyed consistent gigs, lively crowds and great musicians.
I've been with South Street since late 1994 and will remain here until our time runs out.
I would like to thank several people for their influence
and the roles they've played as I developed my skills.
Dave and Don Wyman, The Seigel brothers, Brian Ruel,
Eddie Moody, The guys from Gale Force, Jim Murphy,
my family for their support and all the members,
past and present, of South Street. I would also like
to thank Eric Koslowski of Sunset Studios for his help
on our CD "LONG HARD ROAD" and Dennis Cormier
and Roger, formerly of The Survivers LTD for their help,
guidence and
friendship.
Most of all I
would like to
to thank my
wife Paula for
her love and
the support
she gives me.
